VTML tags showing in Closed Captions

I have a project that uses the built-in text-to-speech, so I have utilized VTML in several places to make it sound more natural. Now when I attempt to add closed captions, the VTML tags are being included in the captioning.

When I try to manually create a closed caption, instead of linking to the existing slide note, the system is automatically changing the slide notes to match the CC (even though I don’t want it to).

Is there a way to get around this?

I’ve attached a copy of what ours looks like.  We put a line with the CC and then a separate line with the vtml script.  We modify the vtml script to have the speech agent speak it correctly while the CC looks like it would normally be read.

You can’t select the CC line until after you’ve recorded the speech agent.  You probably already realize it but thought I’d mention it just in case.

Maybe this will help.
