Copy/Paste slides from one software demo to another

Hello, I have noticed in the past two days that when attempt to copy and paste slides from one software demo to another, it shifts the highlight boxes and text captions off from their targets and creates a strange overlay effect. This hasn’t been the case in the past.  Is this a known glitch? Is there a workaround?

Please help!

Thanks!

Hi! I was having the same issue. I figured it out and thought I’d share. It turned out that the size that I used to do the video simulation recording was different than the project I wanted to copy and paste the slides in. I found the size I used under “Modify>Rescale Project”, then I was able to see the actual size of the video simulation. Then I just adjusted the project I wanted to paste the sim slides in and it worked nicely. I hope that helps! (I’ve only been using this for a few weeks, so if there was a better way to fix this, please reply.)

Resolution (size in px) is also visible in Project Info panel.

You have to be careful when resizing projects because the majority of used images are bitmap images and rescaling always leads to quality loss, although downscaling is better than upscaling.

Do you need more details to be able to solve the problem? Please, give some feedback to my comment.

Can you confirm that you are using the same Theme and the same resolution for both software simulation projects? Please always mention the full version number (Help, About Captivate) and the used OS.
