Alternative: use the Scrolling Text Learning Interaction. Turn off the ‘read only’ check box. Time it for the rest of the project. What the learner types in the first slide will remain on the next slides until you hide the interaction the same way as the text container in my first answer. Here is another link

Use a Text Entry Box on the slide where the field has to be filled. The entry will be stored in the associated variable. Insert that variable as a text container in the field on the next slide, and if it is needed on a sequence of slides time it for the rest of the project. Once you don’t need it anymore on a slide, use the slide On Enter event to delete the text container.
