Hello everyone

I am a  bit stuck. I am trying to convert my powerint slides into elearning but when I follow the video instruction and open in presentation mode the presentation takes up the whole screen space and starts playing and I have no way of then opening Captivate as the buttons won’t be showing anymore. The presentation would have taken up the whole screen! Please help how do I get round this?

Still puzzled about the real goal of your question? Do you want to make the recorded project part of another project with a bigger resolution? In that case have a look at this very old blog post, which was meant for software sims but probably can be used for PPT slides as well.

Imported PPT slides use the blank master slide and will be converted to movie slides to mimick the animations and timing set up in PPT. You don’t have any control over the individual items.  I have always recommended not to use this workflow for really efficient eLearning. PPT is a zipped folder, unzip it and extract the assets. Import them into the Library of a new Captivate project. Set up a good custom theme and recreate the project using theme and assets. Now you’ll have total control and can add as many animations, effects, branching, navigation and other control buttons as wanted.
