“Project has expired”

Hi,

when trying to open one of our projects it says “project has expired”. I read that this is due to the fact that it was created with a trial version. Ever since then I have upgraded to a subscription. I then published the project again with the subscribed version, however it still won’t work…any advice?

I bought a course from someone that created the course in Captivate.  The course was updated in Learndash and now it is saying “This project is expired”.   Do you know why Im having this issue and do I need to purchase a copy of Captivate?

Two possibilities could lead to that message:

  • Course was created with a trial version of Captivate, and it expired 1 month after publishing.
  • The course creator has entered an expiration date in the course.

You need to contact the developer since you ‘bought’ the course. I don’t even know if you have both the published version (HTML or SCORM folder) and the raw cptx-file.

Yes, to reset the expiration date you need a licensed version of Captivate.

It would be nice if you gave some feedback: has your question be answered or not?

You have to save that project in Captivate and re-publish. That should take care of the expiry date. You can also check it under Preferences, Project, Start and End.
