Using a balance scale with Captivate…
I'm a former teacher (and headmaster) in french primary schools. Now I work as a freelance on the net as a webmaster. I used to work with Flash for many years, but now I'm starting to discover Captivate and find it amazing !...

Hello Captivaters !…

Today, I want to share with you my last challenging project : using a balance scale to measure weight…

The challenge is to track which weight you drag… And as the “png” dragged element is not fixed (it’s a bug in Captivate, see one of my previous post if needed), I have also to track the position of all the weights…

For both of these I use variables… So each of the weight have two variables attached…

Here is the project :

Play

And for the first time, I used shared actions !!!… as in previous project I realize that it would take me a very big number of conditional actions to realize this…

Happy Captivating !…

This was a fun little project. Thanks for sharing! I like the interaction of being able to test out the weights to find the correct answer.

Finally – Shared Actions are so underestimated .
