Chromebook clients: Manually append ?html-view=true to end of the Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom room URLs to invoke the HTML5 Meeting client.
In Adobe Connect 10.6, Chromebook clients entering Virtual Classrooms and Meeting in the HTML5 client will be prompted to use the classic view rather than HTML5:
The workaround for this is very simple: Append ?html-view=true to end of the meeting room URL and the HTML5 client will be invoked instead of the classic view. Adobe Connect engineering is aware of the issue and is working towards a solution that will not require manually appending ?html-view=true the URL of the Meeting.
For example, take the standard Adobe Meeting URL: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/cb A Chromebook client using HTML5 instead invokes: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/cb?html-view=true
Note: Other Adobe Connect Virtual Classroom and Meeting URL suffixes that may be of interest include the following two:
- Appending ?launcher=false will invoke the classic view. For example: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/cb?launcher=false
- Appending ?proto=true will invoke the Adobe Connect Meeting Application. For example: http://platinum.adobeconnect.com/cb?proto=true
