While the Adobe Connect Mobile Application for iOS and Android continues to work well for real-time Virtual Classroom interaction, many customer are finding that Adobe Connect works quite well on sundry mobile devices through an HTML browser.

There have always been a few Adobe Connect host features that the Adobe Connect Mobile Application for iOS and Android does not support such as the Presenter Only Area, and Breakout Room management.  There are currently no plans to update the mobile application to add features.

There are however HTML5 capabilities rising fast to fill some gaps in the Mobile classroom experience. As the HTML5 options in Adobe Connect become more and more robust, we are seeing commensurate performance improvements in the HTML browsers on Mobile devices and there is a good chance that many host features will be functional on mobile browsers when we support the host view in HTML in the upcoming year.

When preparing and testing your Adobe Connect Virtual classroom performance, be sure to try the browsers on the mobile devices and compare the performance with the Adobe Connect Mobile Application. With most every  release, we are seeing incremental improvements in the HTML5 Adobe Connect experience  on mobile devices, and while browsers on mobile devices are not yet fully supported officially and are still in beta with Adobe Connect 10.6, many students are finding that they work fine in classrooms (and for viewing classroom archive recordings) and are popping over to the browser from the Adobe Connect Mobile Application, because they can.

Yes. I pulled it because we rolled the updates into 10.6.1; sorry for the confusion; I will edit the link. See this link for the full release notes: https://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-connect/release-note/adobe-connect-10-6-1-release-notes.html

The update of Adobe Connect Hosted clusters during the week of Dec 16-20 is 10.6.0.1. It will improve the HTML5 experience on mobile device browsers. There is not any hosted downtime with this update.

You are welcome. There are some updates pending on the Adobe Connect hosted servers next week that will, (without any downtime) further improve the HTML mobile client experience. And a commensurate updater will be posted shortly for on-premise servers.

Will try to do some more testing when using Connect for the next trainings, thanks for that suggestion.
