I am researching Captivate to see if it is is possible you use a base video(1) presentation and with time defined constraints, have a user hit a hotspot graphic to pull up another video(2) detailing the current content and pausing the original base video(1). Having closed video(2), video(1) resumes. There will most likely be 3 or four popup video’s accessible at different spots on video(1) timeline… feasible??
Thank you Lieve.. I was able to get done what I needed via Bookmarks, A Button, and a simple Advanced Action (Jump to bookmark, Continue). I’ve never used this particular software, but have done a lot of coding so it makes sense after wading through the options.
Really apologize because I didn’t find time yet to double-check the problem and give you a valid answer (too busy). Personally I don’t believe it is necessary to use the workflow you found, which is perfectly possible, but that it could be done without needing a bookmark at all.
I always create a custom menu in interactive video to allow the learner to review certain parts of the video. Have a look at:
Here a link to a post I wrote about Interactive video (was still for 11.0):

Search on my blog for more articles. I also posted two published examples.
Interactive video in Captivate uses no hotspots but overlay slides. Those overlay slides can have all features of normal slides (including showing a video). They will appear at the indicated frame. Hotspots are used for VR slides< Do you really need the hotspots?
