Mute Audio Upon Re-Enter

I cannot not find the training video so I think it was done in the Captivate class itself – but I need help on how to mute the audio on a slide.

I want the audio to play upon entering. There are six buttons, which after selected branch out and then come back to the original slide for another button to be selected. When the user comes back – I don’t want the audio to play anymore – only upon first entry.

I’ve tried everything I can think of and looked everywhere – is it Monday? Please help!

Simples solution is when you can use the Play Audio command instead of slide audio. But slide audio is necessary for CC.  If you can use Play audio, you’ll need a tracking user variable for each slide, incremented with each visit, and use a conditional action On Enter checking that variable and playing only when it is the first visit. If you need slide audio continue reading.

I have offered a solution using micro-navigation in this blog:

If you look further on my blog you’ll find a conversion to a shared action, which can be used both for this use case and for forcing first view of a slide.
