Puzzles with Captivate (2)
…
Hello Captivaters !…
I already shared Puzzles’ projects in this previous post :
https://elearning.adobe.com/2018/11/puzzles-captivate-2019/
But today, I want to share with you my latest puzzle’s project using Drag and drop :

This time I use puzzled shaped images… And this is better as I could now select the html5 scalable option, as the images are pixelled separated and so the separation even if they are bigger don’t bother me so much any more…
But doing this, I found two problems :
1./ In the alignment options, the button which could move above only 1 layer up triggered the same action as the one wich put the selected object on top. (Even if this could be easily corrected using the timeline for example…)
2./ The second one is more problematic. I have already signalled a similar problem in this forum post :
https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/bug-with-drag-and-drop-and-png-images/td-p/10720943?page=1
But as I was working on this new project I realize that even if we fixed a limitation in the number of tries, we could still move the drag objects after this limitation. For example, in the project I share today, the number of tries is limited to 5, but even after, if I clicked 2 times on a draggable, I could still move it…
I hope the captivate team technicians will have a look at them before the next release ???!!!…
Happy captivating !…

That is weird, for a webinar this evening I just checked out the Colorbook game where a lot of bounding boxes do overlap, and it worked perfectly.Just the small parts in the UK flag sometimes cause issues. Try the Norway, Sweden flags:
I’ve seen and read carefully all your posts about the svg already, as it interests me also !…
(The europe map, the flags, and the power of svg)
But I concluded that even if the sensible area is fine, it depends mainly on the level of the target… The one on top remains the priority ???…
Ludovc, stacking order can help, but with the flags it is clear that the big bounding box for the cross SVG is really covering the whole area. I will not put it on top of course. Agree that the sensibility is not perfect. But I continue to use SVGs whenever possible, to avoid fuzziness for rescalable projects. Maybe I’ll try a puzzle in the near future.
This is a project I made with svg :
http://soutien67.fr/math/activites/frises/Pavages_01/index.html
You can see clearly that there’s a problem (see the 3rd and 4rth examples with triangles) !…
It colors always the one on top layer when overlaping…
And that’s another problem I had with svg !!!… So long to open !!!… Sometimes !…
I just had the same with your flag’s project !!!… (I’m laughing !!! but I assure you it’s true !…)
But the second time I tried to open it, it was ok !… But just for opening !…
If you tried the United Kingdom flag carefully, you’ll notice the same problem !…
(Sorry for your evening Webinar, but be carefull !… I think svg’s dont work at all as expected in Captivate…)
The games are not that important for that webinar… but I use SVGs. Know that they take more time to open which is bit logical, is also the case with lor of shapes (and they tend to flicker when they have effect applied). I agree that the UK flag has sometimes issues for the smallest parts, mentioned that in a previous answer. Back to my webinar preparation.
BTW your project is still loading…(20 minutes now), wonder if it is only due to the SVGs.
You seem to doubt it, but in this case it’s due to svgs !!…
Look on this page :
http://soutien67.fr/math/activites/frises/frises_01.htm
All of the projects work fine, isn’t it ???… Except the one I made with svg (the 6th one) !!!…
For all these reasons, I don’t use svg anymore…
Sorry… I know you are busy !… But I even suspected that you can’t open it because it was still open on my computer ???… Try it later when you will have time !…
And if this is the reason, it’s very strange in fact !!!…
PS : By the way, could I attend your webinar ???…
That would indeed be very strange…
Webinar access is restricted to ACP and AEL community. Maybe I’ll post the presentation later on as a standalone tutorial, because I created it in Captivate (of course). It is more meant to emphasize that Captivate is a lot more than a (low-level) Camtasia clone, what lot of the possible attendees believe. Will talk about Interactivity. Have no idea about reactions, first time I do this type of webinars for those communities. Since I’m not allowed to do webinars for the Captivate users as was the case years ago., accepted to do this one.
All my new games on the blog use SVGs instead of bitmap images. Do you know why?

Hello Lily !…
I’m a bit confused… Because this doesn’t work !… I tried to explain this in this post :
(And as you don’t answer me this time, maybe you missed this post ??!!!…)
Even in your example (see attached image)
If you click on the black area, it opens the 6 !… And not the 5 !…
There’s still work to do with the svg’s… ???…
