Hi—i have the latest version of captivate all the updates, and I don’t have the Publish to YouTube Button available or can i publish a .swf. The only option I have to publish is HTML. I must have something checked somewhere but I can’t find it. Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does the latest version of Captivate seem really bug-ie? I’ve been a user for years and I’m not liking it right now.

Paul – I have a similar issue to Baba Sue.
When I go to File >Publish to YouTube, the option is greyed out.
Any ideas?
I would not recommend that you publish to SWF at this point since Flash Player will no longer be supported by Adobe after December 31st, 2020. Most browsers have already disabled Flash content from working by default and all browsers will eventually prevent Flash content from loading in their browsers at some point.
Some less popular features have been relegated to less prominent locations, Publishing directly to YouTube has less popular probably because it strips out any interactivity from your project. To access this
- Click on the File drop-down menu
- Select Publish To YouTube to launch that workflow.
