Captivate File Print to Handout displays in Word incorrectly
I have been employed as a Sr. Technical Writer/Communicator with Columbian Financial Group since 2005. Several years ago, I also took a revised role as the Training & Content Developer for CFG. I am a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. My major was Communications and Rhetoric Studies with a minor in Art. I really enjoy writing and that's my primary job function - creating content and keeping that content relevant is a challenging goal. I also enjoy writing short stories and poems, several of which have been published. When I am not working, I also enjoy gardening, painting, and handbuilding in clay. Traveling is also in my blood - probably as the result of being an Air Force brat most of my younger years. In 1991, I took a year long sabbatical and to explore more of the world - low budget with backpack in tow. These days my travels take me across the pond to England, Italy, Greece, Germany, Portugal, and Spain - anywhere with a soft bed and hopefully, air conditioning and indoor plumbing. I still have a few adventures left in me and on my bucket list is a visit to the Amazon, Galapagos, Machu Picchu, and South Africa. Insurance Related Certifications: LOMA - ACS, AAPA, ARA, AIRC, FLMI, and FFSI.

I have remotely based reviewers who do not have a Captivate license but would like to review content prior to publishing a Captivate project to our LMS. When I do a File>Print in Captivate my ‘Handout’ slide output looks as shown here. A ‘black’ placeholder for the slide content. I’d also like to have a print out as a resource should a learner want to print a course and take notes.

Any ideas as to how to correct? Is this a printer driver issue?

The best way to show the result of your work is to publish the project to HTML5, upload it to a webserver or a LMS (in case of a SCO) and send the URL  to the reviewers. At least if you don’t want them to install the Reviewer application which will simulate Captivate without having it installed.

I have no idea what is going awry with the Print functionality.. I always create a Handouts from scratch, do not like the Word template at all.
