Issue with Drag & Drop Interaction

I have completed a “changing state” drag and drop interaction. It functions correctly. My issue is once the exercise is concluded it’s supposed to advance to the next slide but is failing to do so in Preview mode. I have attached a screenshot of the Drag & Drop inspector – Actions menu to show the current settings.

Please post a screenshot of the Timeline of that D&D slide which is set up as a Knowledge Check slide.

Hi Lieve,

To answer your first question I do in fact preview in HTML5 in Browser. I’ve attached the screenshot. I have all of the elements set at 3 seconds currently and there is no slide audio at this point.

OK, some possible causes eliminated. Did you check the On Exit event? Especially in the Quick Start Projects I often see the action on that event set to Pause, which could explain why the playhead is not going to the next slide. Personally I rarely use that event, but you could have been inspired by it

Similar cause: check the used master slide, is there no interactive project with Pausing?

Thanks for the direction. I checked everything over and ended up checking the Auto Submit Correct Answers” box in the Drag and Drop inspector. That seems to have fixed the issue.

Did you delete the Submit button, instead of dragging it to the scratch area? Auto Submit should work but only for correct answer.

I am out of ideas. Can you try to replicate the issue in a new project? You can use the assets from the older one by opening it as an external Library.

Reason for my suggestion: I start to suspect that the slide or the project is corrupted. It could also be Captivate, which would lead to cleaning the Preferences. But first want to find out if it is not the slide or the project.

Which Preview method did you use? If you want to publish to HTML5 and it is a non-responsive project, you need to use only F11, Preview HTML in Browser.

D&D slides pause at 1.5sec. If you have a long slide timeline (maybe because of slide audio), the present command ‘Continue’ can take a while, since all the frames after 1.5secs need to be passed. You can change ‘Continue’ to ‘Go to Next Slide, or move the pausing point more towards the end of the slide.
