360 project – image does not appear in the final output. Solutions?

Final publish appears as just a black page with some glow where the hotspots would have been. You can click those areas and the hotspot images specifically can be seen fine. Previewing the project while working on in in Captivate functions fine. It runs in the Chrome browser in preview, so it doesn’t seem like it would be a browser issue. It seems to break in the publish process. I have tried it on a server and I have tried it running from my local machine. All give the same black screen with just the glow where the hotspot trigger images would be.

Essential data:
Mac Mojave operating system and the most current release and update of Captivate

Things that I have tried:

After trying it with my own 360 images that I used successfully in other 360 software, I then downloaded and tried a popular 360 example project from here in the Captivate community’s own example project section. Then I tried a new project and used a 360 image that comes with Captivate. All attempts have the same result.

I read that using the scale to fit caused issues, but I don’t even see that setting in the publish options, so that may have been removed in an update.

As a last resort, I will uninstall and reinstall, but I do hope others recognize this issue and can offer a simple fix. I was planning to use this feature for a current contract, so I guess since the contract has already been spec’d to have 360s I may end up looking for other software to do that portion of it. Suggestions are welcome if it ends up being a known bug and we have to wait for the next update to have it running.

Interesting findings. Thanks for reporting about that.  Too bad that some LMSs seem not really to fulfill their promises as LMS.

A solution has been found. Canvas does not do SCORM from within the LMS, but it has plug-ins that lets it use SCORM Cloud. If the Captivate 360 is published in SCORM Cloud, then students taking a Canvas course can enjoy the 360 learning interactive activities. This seems to reinforce, yet again, that Canvas itself just will not play these when they are set up within Canvas itself. Now, I can finally move forward with the extensive use of 360s I had planned on doing.
