Captivate cannot access the built -in webcam

I am not able to access the computer cam in Captivate. I am using Catalina 10.15.5. On system preferences, Captivate does not show up on Camera or Audio permissions. It only shows up on Screen Recording. Something wrong with the installation file, maybe. I do not know. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

This is not caused by something else using the webcam. It has been reported on various forums online since at least March 2019. From running Captivate from the terminal we see some error messages related to a class that is implemented in two different locations, and it seems to be unclear which class is referenced elsewhere in code. It may look like this causes loading of video related functionality to crash. Other functionality in Captivate works as expected, it seems it is only the webcam that cannot be accessed.

Similar problems have been reported in apps using CocoaPods to manage library dependencies since 2017. Seems Adobe needs to fix this in code, it is likely not a MacOS permission issue.

Output from the terminal window below:
objc[16457]: Class oobelibclass_CS7_7 is implemented in both /Applications/Adobe Captivate 2019/Adobe Captivate.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Application Manager.app/Contents/OOBE/adobe_oobelib.dylib (0x10b3e0ab8) and /Applications/Adobe Captivate 2019/Adobe Captivate.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Application Manager.app/Contents/OOBE/adobe_prtk_lib.dylib (0x10ac37728). One of the two will be used. Which one is undefined.

Looks like something else is using your webcam.  Did you try a restart?
