Brief reflection on eLearning World 2020 and the ACP exam
I would like to thank Adobe for the eLearning World 2020 online conference they held in June. I had been scheduled to attend the Adobe eLearning Conference in Washington D.C. in April. Of course, I was disappointed when COVID hit and it was cancelled. I had been looking forward to attending my first Adobe conference as well as taking part in the training for the Adobe Certified Professional exam.
Overall, I feel that the online conference was very well done. The variety of speakers and topics offered something for everyone. I liked that the sessions were pre-recorded as well as live presentations. This allowed users to view at their own pace as well as attend sessions that would have overlapped if this was an in-person conference. The biggest thing missing, however, was the opportunity to meet and mingle with peers and have those conversations in-person.
While virtually attending the conference, I was also wrapping up my studying for the ACP exam, which I took at the end of the week. For anyone considering the certification, I highly recommend it. The online video training was well done. Thank you, Poojah, for your expertise! You were very thorough and easy to follow along. Had I gone to the full-day of live training review and then attempted the exam, I think I would have been wiped out. I am glad that Adobe offered the choice to take the exam online. The entire process was smooth. I am happy to say that I passed with a 52 out of 56!
