Hi all

What is the recommended workflow for multiple authors updating one Adobe Captivate project?  Can the Captivate project be shared on a server location and accessed concurrently by two authors?

Or will we need to implement a workflow of one author access it at a time?

Thanks

MDD

Did you find a workaround?

That’s sad though.  If they really want to compete with other e-learning authors, they need to do something about that.

No, it cannot. Unlike certain Microsoft file formats, Adobe Captivate cannot be worked on at the same time by multiple authors. I’ve had good success dividing up the modules into lessons or sections and each developer is responsible for their slides only. Once the work is done, one developer can assemble the entire course into one. One word of advice would be to make sure that everyone is using the same version of Adobe Captivate. i.e. the latest version for a PC is 11.5.1.499. Project files that have been saved in newer versions may not be able to be opened in older releases.
