Forced Navigation

I have followed the instructions for creating Forced Navigation for my course as shown here on the Adobe website:

https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/create-branching-forced-navigation.html

Everything works fine except that the ‘quiz’ button does not appear on the branching slide when the last topic has been visited.

Has anyone else had an issue like this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perhaps my video might help you with this process. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jEoFzxTc0E

You have posted this same question twice. Know that moderation can take a while in this portal. If it is really urgent to get an answer, please use the old Adobe forums.

This is the first, original thread:

Hopefully someone answers your question. I always create forced navigation in a custom way, never use the canned solution you are referring to. My bad… just know that you have to do exactly what is explained for labeling, grouping. That you need to click a button several times is probably due to having multiple pausing points,, which was not the case in the canned solution.

I’m struggling with this issue also. I’ve been on the phone with Adobe Support and watched a bunch of videos. I have yet to find an answer to this same question.

I can get my project to navigate to the groups and back to the Branching slide. However, I cannot get the Quiz button to display after completing all the actions.

Is this a branching, a multi-state issue, or some combination of the two?

Since the scripting is hidden in this workflow, it is difficult to tell you what is wrong in your setup. I never use that type of canned interaction myself. It is rather easy to set up if you have some basics of advanced/shared actions.

I don’t think it is a multistate issue. Normally such an interaction uses variables to track the completed groups, and checks those variables On Enter for the Branching slide.  The variables can be Booleans, if they have all been toggled to 1, the Quiz button should appear. That is the logic.
