Need help with advanced action.

Hey all! I cannot get my advanced action to work in adobe captivate.  I’ll add the pictures of them to this post but basically when my object is clicked I want it to increment by 1 (making the object value at 2, since it starts at 1).  That didn’t work so now I have it incrementing the object by 2 thinking maybe it wasn’t registering that it starts at 1 but that didn’t work either.  Then they will go through a scenario, answer a quiz question, then be directed back to the original slide where it should recognize that the objects value is two and hide it but it is not recognizing it.  Any help?

Were you able to get this resolved based on Lieve’s advice?

Please use the Preview button when posting screenshots of an advanced action. It is the first button (arrow) in the top right control panel. At least it is possible to see several decisions at the same time. Posting two screenshots like you did will not explain the advanced action.

I see a first dangerous situation: you use the SAME label for an object and for a variable. Do never do that. Although it is possible in some limited situations, it will cause you problems: each label needs to be UNIQUE.

If you tried to explain what you want exactly to do with this action, and which event(s) is triggering this action? It looks very complicated and to me that is mostly an indication that something is wrong with the preparation and setup of that action. Advanced and Shared actions are the main focus of my personal blog, which has almost 12 years (started with the appearance of Advanced actions in version 4).

Have a look at this post to learn more about the Advanced Actions dialog box:
