I’m having problems opening a course using a published HTML5 link
Hi everyone, I really hope that somebody can help.
I work for a large organisation and have been using Captivate 8 since it came out and have recently been upgraded to captivate 2019 release. We have always published our courses via SWF but as the changes to Flash are imminently inbound, we have recently started publishing in HTML5. That is where the issues have started.
When publishing in HTML5 with Captivate 8, it seems to work perfectly fine linking the published files from our Webserver (which acts as our hosting platform) to our staff members/users. However, when we have tried to do the same in the new version of Captivate, nothing seems to work. We even replicate the exact course we did before and still get the same issues with it not loading. It seems to want to open the course, but just shows either a blank white screen or a screen with a static loading icon. I suppose the only difference from publishing it out in SWF and HTML5 is that before (when publishing in SWF) we were creating the link via the html document file (which was always the name of the course followed by .htm) and now we link to the html document file (which is always index.html). I’m unsure if this is the correct thing to do.
I would be really grateful if somebody could help me out, as I can’t seem to do anything to fix it.
Thank you in advance.
Matt
