I’m new to eLearning authoring and Adobe Captivate but the software is intuitive and I was able to create my first projects easily. One feature I hadn’t heard about before which I have found extremely useful is the export/import project captions function. I need to create projects in 3 languages with the help of a translator, which has always meant a lot of extra work in the past. With captivate it’s so easy!! You can export your captions to word, send them to the translator who works in another column of that word document, then click one button to import the word doc again and your whole project has been translated! It’s such a great time-saving feature if you translate your projects, and I also think a great tool for reviewing/ getting others to review your text.

Welcome to the Captivate world!  I was smiling when I read that you find it intuitive, because most new users complain it is not intuitive.

You don’t only have the export/import workflow to Word, but a similar one to XML, bear that in mind. I had to translate a lot of tutorials in the past when in university college because we had many students from other countries (and from other regions in Belgium, having 3 national languages).
