Adobe Captivate 2019 crashes when accessing Video demo

When I invoke Adobe Captivate 2019 the application loads fine on my desktop pc (which is new so not old architecture).

With the exception of Video Demo the application works fine (or appears to)

When I click on Video Demo Adobe Captivate 2019 crashes out totally and the application closes

I am using a logitech webcam

I am using latest version of win 10 with all updates.

Works fine on laptop again running win 10 with all updates (webcam built into laptop)

Any ideas as to what may cause this?

I have worked it out

I have a Logitech webcam (external).

I undertook the following tasks for it to work.

  1. Uninstall the Logitech software
  2. Make sure cache etc all cleared out of the desktop pc
  3. Run captivate 2019 and click on video demo
    • The application worked fine and did not crash
  4. Bear in mind I have uninstalled the web cam so now I have to reinstall that software
  5. Go to Logitech and download new version of software https://www.Logitech.com/en-gb/product/capture
  6. When you go to install the software you may find windows does not want to load it as the app did not come from Microsoft apps store so simply right click on the application, select properties and click unblock
  7. Load the Logitech software (ensure you create an account with Logitech, it is free)
  8. Ensure once the software is loaded the Logitech software is loaded and running
  9. Invoke adobe captivate 2019

It should now work fine, or at least it is for me

The desktop is running latest Win 10 with all updates applied, Bitdefender Total Security
