Help needed – republishing SWF to HTML5. Captivate 19

Hi everyone,

I have some older captivate files that I need to republish to HTML5 so it will work on the LMS. I recently received Captivate 19. When I select Publish to Devices (which is recommended) all I get is a reference to login into PhoneGap which is no longer supported by Adobe. My colleague uses Captivate 19 and doesn’t get this screen.

Is it because I am trying to republish an older file?

Thanks in advance!

R

The most recent version of Captivate for Windows is 11.5.5.553, still a lot of versions to go before a version 19. You may confuse with the common reference (CP2019) which had already 5 updates, amongst them one major update from 11 to 11.5.

There is some misunderstanding. Since you talk about ‘old’ files which have been published to SWF, which were by definition NOT responsive, apparently now you are in a responsive project. It is probably with the Fluid Boxes workflow. Was that what you wanted? Did you set up the Fluid Boxes and have every item IN the boxes? If yes, you did use the wrong option under Publish, you need to use the first option ‘Publish for Devices’ instead of the second option which you are showing in the screenshot: ‘Publish for Devices(app)’ which is meant to create an app for mobile devices.
