Since FLV is no longer a valid format, what is the format to allow transparent video to overlay a project?  I have searched far and wide and cannot find an answer.

Hi Michelle, you can try creating transparent video using Adobe Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements. Here’s a help document with details: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/premiere-elements/using/superimposing-transparency.html

Hi Michelle,

I have the same challenge. I have character made in adove character that I’d like to import to captivate with the alpha channel. The main problem is that captivate convert vídeos to MPEG using media encoder which doesn’t support transparency and video turns into a black background video. We are trying many options, including convert our videos to gif. One last option that I don’t like at all, but I’ll chose if I don’t find any other solution is to rebuild the whole static scene and background in the video editor. If I have any success I’ll let you know.

Regards,

Akemi
