Converting Captivate 8 projects to HTML5

I am working with a company that needs to convert their Captivate 8 training courses to HTML5. I look at the HTML5 tracker and there are unsupported slides/objects. When I preview the project in the HTML5 browser, it tells me that I have unsupported slides/objects in HTML5 and the project may not work correctly. I go ahead and say yes to continue. Even though I have unsupported issues, the project seems to run fine. If it runs correctly in the HTML5 browser as a preview, will it work if I publish it as HTML5/SWF and only select HTML5 as the output format in an LMS?

I had trouble with the tracker but was wondering if you came across any updates recently?

The HTML tracker is not perfect.

Example: it will report all Rollover items: Caption, Image and Slidelet. Indeed, none of those items will ever appear when using a mobile device. The Rollover slidelet will never be functional. The Rollover Captions and Images will appear in most browsers but only if the learner uses a desktop/laptop where hovering is indeed available.

If you told which other items were reported, could help you better. There may also be problems with features in HTML5 which are not reported by the tracker. And please, be aware of the fact that HTML5 is not supported the same way by all browsers. Do not limit your testing to one browsers, if you are not sure which browser will be used by your learners. You really need to test the published version, uploaded to a webserver or a LMS (in case of a SCO) in multiple versions on all devices that could be used by the learners.
