Cut-out Characters Not Working
I've been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005. In 2015 I started my own eLearning design company. I began creating Adobe Captivate video tutorials to help promote my business through my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/captivateteacher. My intention with my YouTube videos was to attract attention from organizations looking for a skilled Captivate developer. This strategy proved successful as I've worked with clients worldwide, helping them build highly engaging eLearning solutions. In addition, my YouTube channel presented another benefit of attracting aspiring Captivate developers to seek me out as a teacher. I now offer online and onsite training on Adobe Captivate, teaching users the skills to build engaging and interactive learning.

I’d like to ask my fellow users to try the following steps which previously worked for me in prior versions.

  1. Click on Assets in the Captivate Toolbar
  2. Click on Characters from the Categories along the left-hand side of the Assets window.
  3. Double click a character set from any of the characters you see in this window.
  4. Select a pose from the window, select any of the options from Closeup, Half, Full and Use High Resolution Images.
  5. Click Insert.

This has always worked as expected for me but while teaching a class this week, I had this not work and several of my students reported the same issue. Eventually, it would work but often only after repeating the steps several times. If you find the same problem please submit a bug report to Adobe letting them know. The more people that report such issues, the more likely they will be resolved quickly.

I’m also having an issue with the “Discover” section characters (looks like they come from Elearning Brothers).  I click to download and then it says it’s downloaded and I get a message to go to the Downloads tab but when I do, nothing is there.  Also, it randomly changes from the characters to showing the elearning.adobe  “Best of elearning” page.

Where is the best place to submit a bug report?

Yikes!!

I tried both checking and unchecking the “high resolution” box and it isn’t working either way.  It acts like it’s downloading and inserting but then nothing appears on the slide.  Tried 5 or 6 times with different characters and nothing…
