I’ve created a software simulation that prompts the learner to click certain buttons but only demonstrates text entry. (The text is not the focus of the learning.)
While recording, everything looked normal, but in the Captivate file, the text appears well above the cursor. In the example below, “What day is it today?” was being typed where the cursor is, in the “Type your question here” box.
Any tips to fix this in this project and prevent it in the future? Thanks!
I need some details to be able to answer. Which exact version are you using (full number under Help, About Captivate) on which OS?
Do you use Software simulation in Training mode and insert slides from Demo mode to achieve what you want? You always have to fine tune, also for appearing text. Recently I posted two sample projects (not embedded and embedded) to explain a workflow. Can you have a look? It is a Training simulation, but I also avoided having them to type in long texts. Maybe you can tell if this is what you want?
