I’m creating a module (captivate 11.5) on email phishing. I have an email sample, and I want the users to identify the clues that the email is not legitimate. I’d like the question to be graded, so I used the quiz>knowledge check>insert questions and then selected Hot Spot.
Now that I’m there, I’m stumped on what to do next.

Thank you. I was on 11.5.1.499- just started the update. I’m in the process of learning everything so thanks for the knowledge check info. I won’t be using an LMS for this project, since it’s just for my portfolio. Eventually, I will need to know how to so learning about setting up reporting in Quiz Preferences is helpful.
I’m still on the trial version of captivate, is it possible to publish it to HTML from the trial version?
I start a different comment, because this is only indirectly linked with your question. Reason: you talk about a Hotspot question. Problem with the default Hotspot type of question is that you cannot have partial scoring. If you want partial scoring, you can create a custom hotspot question, using scored SVGs used as buttons. Here is a link to such an example:

Can you check the full version number? If you are on Windows it should be 11.5.5.553.
You tackled this wrongly. If you need a graded question, you can’t use Knowledge Check slides which are by definition not graded. You have to restart, because there is no way to convert a KC slide into a normal quiz slide.
Have a look at this blog, explaining all similitudes and differences between KC slides and quiz slides:

When you have finished the project, you need to publish it to HTML5. If you want to track the scores you need to set up Reporting in Quiz Preferences, but in that case you need to have a LMS for uploading. If you don’t set up the Reporting, you can upload the published result to a normal webserver. Examples of uploaded projects can be found here in this portal, which uses AWS.
