Hi all.

Today is an exciting day. I have just received a licence to work with Captivate. It has been a while since I have been able to use the software and I have not touched the most recent version before now.

I can see there are some improvements already in the very short time I have been able to “play”. I am looking forward to getting into this more and hopefully developing some projects to share on the community. But if I do post something, please understand that I am not as experienced as some of you. Constructive comments are great. But take it easy on the new guy and don’t knock us down too far.

Anyway, I look forward to interacting with you all more as time goes on. Hopefully I get back up to speed quickly and put some work out. I have a few projects I want to do, so I’ll need to get going to fulfill my own requirements.

I know of some great resources for training already exist (and some have been shared with me previously – thank you), and I have been reviewing some, but if anyone has any other examples, always happy for more resources.

Thanks all.

Welcome to the most recent version of Captivate, 11.5.5.553 if you are on Windows! Indeed a lot has happened to Captivate if you left it some versions ago. Make sure to explore not only the sample projects, but also the Quick Start projects (and Ready to go slides) which you find in the Assets panel. You’ll find a lot of inspiration and interactions which you can use in your projects.

I remember your ‘name’, and probably you already got some links from me to blog posts here or on my personal blogs ( around 2,000,000 views up till now). If my memory fails anyway, have a look at this article, reminder of the basic stumbling blocks:
