Submit Button Not working

Hi,

I’m using the most current version of Captivate, I’m have an issue with Submit buttons no working consistently. Well, consistent in the fact that if a user has the Submit button fail it’s always on the same button. But some will have the issue and others proceed without incident. This is with courses that previously worked without issue, until we brought them into the most current Captivate to re-publish for HTML5.

Any suggestions on what would cause this? And how to resolve?

Can you check the full version number? You can find it under Help, About Captivate. The most recent version for Windows is 11.5.5.553.

We really need some more information. You talk about a Submit button: do you mean on a quiz slide, or is it the Submit button for a Text Entry Box? I suspect it is about quiz slides.

Themes have been changing a lot, I don’t know neither what the original version was used to create those older courses. Did you update the used Theme, because the quizzing master slides are very important for question slides? It often happens that embedded objects (= objects without an individual timeline) are deleted, which can cause serious problems with quiz slides. Did you keep the default design of the Submit process or did you tweak it?

Just republishing an old course to HTML5 will not always create a fully functional course. Did you check the course with F11, Preview HTML in Browser and was that successful? Which browser(s) did you use for testing, not all browsers support HTML5 the same way.
