If your install of Captivate has an issue preventing pasting graphics copied from outside Captivate, try restarting Captivate. Avoid using copy/pasting slides in the filmstrip. Use duplicate instead.
Trying to paste a graphic into Adobe Captive 2019 that you copied from elsewhere in Windows, eg. another app, or a screenshot?
It usually works, right? But now it doesn’t? It just pastes the last thing you copied in Captivate? Maddening isn’t it?
I noticed this frustrating issue in build 11.5.5.553. It seems to arise after copy/pasting whole slides in the “filmstrip” on the left. This breaks paste from outside Captivate.
The solution? Quit and restart Adobe Captivate.
Now you can enjoy pasting from outside Captivate. And if you need to copy whole slides in the filmstrip, use “Duplicate” instead, and drag them to where you want them. This avoids breaking paste from outside Captivate.
