What will the next version of Captivate utilize for motion graphics and when can this update be expected?
I think what you are referring to are full-motion recordings for items such as on-screen scrolling. As far as the future is concerned, not to worry. For right now if you publish to HTML5 you will be fine. When Adobe introduced HTML5 publishing they devised a way to convert these temporary SWF files into MP4 files. Make sure you don’t publish to SWF as well and you should be fine.
What do you mean exactly by ‘motion graphics’? Within Captivate the Effects are compatible with HTML5 output and some of them use motion paths with or without easing.
If you talk about inserting SWF animations, I haven’t used them since the death of Flash Player was announced, but use either animated GIFs or OAMs, both compatible with HTML5 output.
As for the next release, I am just a user but ‘Those who know will not tell, those who tell do not know’. That is a free translation of a French proverb.
