Create a Multi-Slide Glossary in Your Adobe Captivate eLearning
I've been an eLearning designer and developer since 2005. In 2015 I started my own eLearning design company. I began creating Adobe Captivate video tutorials to help promote my business through my YouTube channel at https://youtube.com/captivateteacher. My intention with my YouTube videos was to attract attention from organizations looking for a skilled Captivate developer. This strategy proved successful as I've worked with clients worldwide, helping them build highly engaging eLearning solutions. In addition, my YouTube channel presented another benefit of attracting aspiring Captivate developers to seek me out as a teacher. I now offer online and onsite training on Adobe Captivate, teaching users the skills to build engaging and interactive learning.

As some of you may know, the “Go to the slide last visited” action doesn’t work if you navigate to a second slide. This solution uses a user variable and two simple advanced actions. Free Download Members of my YouTube channel can download the project file for this video.

Hi,

Just wanted to confirm if the build in (“out of the box”) Glossary feature no longer works in Captivate? I can’t get it working in my environment and wasn’t sure what troubleshooting steps I can take or if this is known bug?

As far as I know, the Glossary Learning Interaction is fine. Yes, it uses SWF technology to generate the slide content. When you publish the project, it is all converted to HTML5. It’s pretty straightforward. You create and import the XML file containing all your definitions to the interaction. I recall that certain symbols or characters are incompatible, but regular words and definitions should work fine. If you need help, you should email captivatehelp@adobe.com for technical support and troubleshooting.
