I have used Captivate 2019 for the past year (2020) and have created several modules within this program. I recently changed to a new computer and had to install Captivate 2019 again on this new computer. However, when I try and open a .cptx file to edit, I get this Alert window.
I know the file is not open. And I had another co-worker open the same file from this same flash drive, so I know the file is not corrupt. My IT helpdesk is trying to tell me it’s the Application and not last 2 issues (available space or sufficient resources) listed. Any help is appreciated.
Never work on a cptx which is stored on a networked or an external drive. A flash drive is an external drive.
Maybe your coworker didn’t close the file in the appropriate way? I don’t see the error message in your question, but I suppose that is the error you are pointing.
Please copy the cptx file to your system and try to open it again? You can look for eventual .lck extensions which can be the result of what I mentioned about closing the file. Did you check if there is a backup file?
