Captivate 2019 – Audio Speech Management

I am creating an eLearning video using text to speech. The speech Agent keeps changing after I make a selection.  After I save it goes back to the first slide.  If I select Generate Audio before Saving the text then it doesn’t let me save the text.  If I add text and decide its not needed, I select the “-” icon but it doesn’t actually remove it.  Is there a bug in this area or am I doing something wrong.  It seems a bit unstable.

You apreciate when listen to a robotic voice? thinking it twice, maybe your using a lot of effort and time you would lose if your not apply your own power voice or try to find a friend  in order to help you.

Sorry for late answer, which I have already written a couple of times, but I get kicked out from this platform all the time.

I always use Slide Notes, not enter text directly in the Speech management dialog box. That way you can have the same texts for both TTS and CC:

  • Enter each sentence as an individual slide note.
  • Check the option  TTS for all the sentences to be converted to audio.
  • Click the same icon on top of the panel to open the dialog box.
  • Choose the wanted voice for each of the sentences.
  • Generate, and the audio will be added to the slide(s) as slide audio, and also appear in the project Library.
