I recently installed Adobe Captivate 2019 on my MacBook Pro running macOS Big Sur. I am always getting a black screen as shown in the image. The thumbnails are fine indicating that there is content on the main screen but I am not able to see it because of the black background. Thanks for your valuable input.
Also have the black screen issue. Does it have to do with it being a trial version?
Trial version is fully functional. You need to check the exact version number from Help, About Captivate. Maybe you don’t have the version which is compatible with Big Sur. BTW there is no version compatible with Monterrey.

The update did not fix the problem.
That’s a strange one. I keep hearing that Captivate works with Big Sur, but I also see these types of challenges as well – not only on the community. It is one of the reasons I have not updated to Big Sur yet, even through I would like to.
Hopefully this gets sorted out for you. Potentially a reinstall? Hate to recommend that, but maybe that works?
Maybe someone has had the same/similar issue and can lend a hand.
