I am having the issue with Captivate 2019 TTS crashing the program. It started with 2017 so I upgraded to 2019. I cannot run as administrator (Government system). I am running Windows 10, Captivate version 11.5.5.553. I have deleted the Layout and content folders from the public documents and ran the cleaning options within the utilities folder. I have created a 24 slide blank lesson and tried adding TTS without resolution. Even tried creating the slide audio one sentence at a time and piecing them together, but even a simple short sentence can cause the issue. As I have several hundred hours of lessons to complete, please tell me what to try next. Thank you.

Install/reinstall is very drastic and may not solve the issue if there is a problem with other applications. Moreover Cleaning the Preferences is much more important and needs to be done if you reinstall as well.

Can you check if the cache has not grown too much? You can clear under Preferences, General settings.

Is everything installed on your system, including the Neospeech voices included with Captivate?  You also have to avoid to work on projects which are installed on networked or external drives.
