Hi! I’m trying to remove flash from an old captivate project using the HTML5 tracker but even if it indicates that I have none, it still won’t load into our departmental LMS. Is there any other tips & tricks out there? thanks

The requirement to have JSON on the webserver appeared with a version of 9 (which is already pretty old).  Can you check?

The HTML tracker is helping, but is not perfect. It will mention some of the incompatible items, but not all. Example: it will mention that you cannot use any rollovers, which is not correct. Rollover Captions and Images are supported but will only show up on desktop/laptop because mobile devices do not have a Hover event. You didn’t tell which version was used for the legacy projects at all, nor which version you are using at this moment.

It is difficult guessing with so little details given. First of all check if the server used for the LMS supports the JSON protocol.

Have a look at an overview of processes to update a legacy project, used to be published to SWF, for an output to HTML5:

The legacy project was developed using Captivate 8. I’m now using Captivate 9.
