Have you ever wondered how to easily make your course more accessible? I’ve provided 5 quick tips below to help make your content more accessible.
1. Use Headings
Headings allow for students with screen readers to easily navigate through your content.
2.
Rather than using bold, edit the HTML if you can to use to help learners understand the text is bold for emphasis.
3. Links
Do not open links in a new tab unless absolutely necessary. When you must open links in a new tab, include the phrase “Opens in a new tab” so users are informed that the link will open in a new tab.
4. Color
If information is conveyed through color, an additional visual indicator is necessary for those who need visual distinction.
5. Alt Text
Add alt text to any image you use. If it is decorative, mark it as a decorative image.
