Hello,

I am delivering a course  that will be used by technicians working on a vehicle maintenance.  Typically, these technicians hand’s  would be engaged & full of tools in hands.

Now,  I am looking for something that will help in starting, stopping videos files or start / play  buttons with the help of Audio only and not any computer clicks on buttons.  Is that feasible practically ? Is there any way out on this to develop such thing?

That is such a good idea, I wonder if there is a hidden js bug or webpage that you can tuck in the corner that could execute the functionality you wish on a slide by slide basis

A few years ago, Adobe demonstrated this capability as a feature that might end up in a release version at some point, however it has never come to life. If this is something that is important to you, you can submit it as a feature request. Who knows, perhaps they are waiting for one more person to suggest it before implementing that capability. I always recommend that people suggest these sorts of things to Adobe. I can tell you that they listen to feedback if enough people recommend something. I do like the idea of this feature.

You didn’t get an answer yet, sorry about that. AFAIK Captivate doesn’t allow Audio to trigger events out of the box, but it may be possible by using external tools (like for compliance), or by using JS? However I am incompetent to help you out.
