How to make my Captivate workspace easier for me to see?
As in Photoshop, the information in the panels is TOO SMALL for me to read easily. How can I reset the size of the information in panels and timeline, to be larger?
Paul gives some good advice. It is likely you system settings that will have to be adjusted. There are some programs that require a lot of information in panels to be able to make good use of the software, so I’m not sure if the programs are designed to be adjusted in the way you are looking for.
Other than adjusting your system settings, if you are on a laptop for example, a second larger screen can be helpful to create some additional size as well.
Probably the OP doesn’t follow this anymore. But for anybody else:
My eyesight got weaker over the years and sometimes I can’t read the supertiny stuff. I’m on a Mac and referring to Paul Wilson, under System Preferences/Displays one wouldn’t find any help. But under System Preferences/Accessibility and then in the side panel: Zoom I checked Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom. Worth a try, it helps me a lot.

No one suggested a magnifying glass at all. I use it when creating a video to focus on certain parts of the screen.
You can perfectly rearrange panels in custom workspaces, but to increase the object size in panels can only be done by changing the screen resolution, or the display percentage (for Windows).
I often facilitate Captivate courses online and want to make it easy for my learners to see my screen.
On my Windows PC,
- I click on my Start Menu and select Settings
- Click on Display
- Change the Scale and layout to 125% or higher
Not a macOS user, but you can lower the resolution on a Mac,
- Choose Apple menu
- Click on System Preferences and then Displays
- Click Display Settings
