I’m working from a remote iMac and whenever I click inside the Captivate workspace, the window jumps and I have to scroll around to try and recenter it. It’s like playing whack-a-mole. Why is this happening?

Hi heathern18….,

I’m trying to understand what you mean by ” working from a remote iMac “. Remote from what? Are you saying that Captivate is not installed on your iMac’s HD? Can you please explain briefly what remote iMac means in your setup.

Otherwise, it is true that the Captivate’s workspace, given that you mean the editing area, the stage if you like, there where you design the slide content, this area is quite jumpy and it needs constant re-centering. I use for that the keyboard shortcut Cmd-0 (digit 0) on my iMac.

Does your iMac have the M1 Chip? I know last year Adobe said that the M1 Chip was causing issues with many Adobe apps.

When I was in my Certification Courses, there was a student using a Mac and had to clear their cache in Captivate before closing the program each time, this helped the App load better the next time they opened it. How long has it been since you cleared your Cache in the Captivate App?
