Do I have to convert my video files to MP4 format myself or does Captivate do it automatically?

Thank you for the video Paul. It was clear and had a few extras that are also welcome.

Adobe Captivate will attempt to convert .MOV files and others to MP4 using Adobe Media Encoder running in a background panel but I recommend you convert first. This way you can select settings that will optimize your videos to a size and bitrate appropriate for eLearning. Here is a video I did on this topic: https://youtu.be/o5meR8muyfY

You can only insert MP4 files in Captivate as event video or slide video, or use an URL from YouTube or Vimeo.

This is different from audio files: in that case it is much better to import raw WAV files and let Captivate compress their size to MP3 on publishing.
