Your question is bit confusing: I suspect you want to get rid of the project named which are mentioned in the Welcome screen, not to get rid of the projects.
Cleaning the Preferences by running the appropriate CleanPreferences… file from the ‘utils’ folder will do this, but be aware that some customisation will be deleted as well! You will lose custom workspaces, custom shapes etc… More info in:

It is a pretty old blog but still valid for version 11.5, and for sure also for your version 9.
Simply rename, move or actually delete the projects from your computer and Captivate will no longer show them. Alternatively you can simply reset Captivate using the following steps.
