PowerPoint upload to HTML – all text is missing

I am a newbie to Adobe Captivate.  I’m just learning how to use the software.

For my first project, I uploaded a PowerPoint file (I know, I’ve read that isn’t the best thing to do) and recorded narration. I attempted to save the file as an HTML5 file and now all of the fonts are missing.  I didn’t receive an error message, but the fonts are nowhere to be found in the file.  They are still in my presentation on Captivate, but not in the HTML file. I have tried to many things to fix it and looked around for answers and can’t find anything.  Can someone help?

Hmmm… did you add text to the project? You should use either websafe or Adobe fonts in that case. How did you test the published output? You need to upload the output to a webserver or a LMS for testing.

Did you test the project in Captivate using the Preview HTML in Browser (F11)? What was the result in that case? I suspect this is a non-responsive project, where the other Preview methods are not really worthwhile since they create temporary SWF output.

PPT slides are converted to ‘movie’ slides mimicking the animations set up in PPT.
