I’m working on Adobe Captivate 2019 11.5.5.533.

I have a project with 6 video slides of 2-3 minutes each, the longest one being 10 minutes. There are questions in between each slide. I am using the Slide Video feature to insert the video files in the project (not streaming from youtube or vimeo). Each video ranges from 50-70mb the 10 minute video being 150mb.

When I test the project on my computer and SCORM Cloud, the videos load properly and play without issue. When the client loads it into their LMS and then tries to skip forward to the following video, the audio (and close captioning) plays but the video never loads. It just shows a blank slide.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how I may identify the problem.

Hello, have you managed to resolve this?

Do you know what browser the client is using? I’ve seen similar where older browsers are being used, such as internet explorer. Switching to Chrome or Edge seemed to resolve it in my case.

It was also my belief that the root of the issue is with the LMS. I’ve asked the client’s IT department to look into it, but they are being less than helpful at this point. I shall have to persist because at this point there seems to be  nothing else I can do on my end.

Personally I am very happy with the possibility to test in SCORM Cloud, because in most cases that will push the ITs responsible for the LMS to stop blaming the authoring tool.

Since it works on SCORM Cloud, the origin of the problem is with the LMS or the webserver. Can you talk with the IT people responsive for the LMS? Tell them it works fine on SCORM Cloud which is a real standard.
