Hello,

I’ve encountered an issue where our organisation is experiencing membership expired messages when licensed users try to access Captivate 2019.

We’ve tried everything we can think of – logging out and back into creative cloud, reinstalling, rebuilding laptops, removing and reassigning licenses, even checked to make sure we’ve paid the bills! lol! Nothing we can find online has fixed it yet, so we currently think it might be something policy based.

Is anyone aware of any commonly used IT Policies that may be applied which could cause this type of error? I’m told Adobe are whitelisted so shouldn’t be getting blocked by our network.

Just a rough idea of topics would be useful so i can suggest them to our IT guys. I’m more trainer than techy so a bit out of my depth on this one!

Really Appreciate your help!!

This is a typical question for the staff. You may provide the exact version number (About Captivate window), and also the type of license. Is this a business license or a personal license. Did you see the message about the change of license protocol:

Thanks for your response! We’ve been through the Adobe route already and exhausted those options from what I understand. It’s a business license and affects everyone in the org using creative cloud products.

Good call on the 11.8 release, unfortunately we’ve had the issue since before that was released. I suspect that if I did download and run 11.8 it would likely throw up the same problem. Might well give that a try this afternoon though! 🙂

Being just a user, I can only say ‘I’m sorry’. So, it has no sense for me to try to get hold of an Adobe staff member since you tried this already? It looks like the combination of Captivate with CC subscriptions is causing the problems. However I only have personal licenses for both, am completely incompetent for business licenses. Crossing my fingers that 11.8 could fix it.
