CAPTIVATE: After exiting a module, picking up Where They Left Off.
Hi-
I want my users to be able to work their way through a module, stop when their hearts desire, then log back in and re-start exactly where they stopped. In the TOC Settings I have the following checked: ENABLE NAVIGATION, NAVIAGATE VISITED SITES and STATUS FLAG.
In the past, this has worked for me but for some reason on one recently created module, after uploading to SCORM, and reviewing, when I click the exit button, instead of taking me back to the exact slide where I left off on, it takes me back to the TOC page.

I manage this using my LMS options. Insert the SCORM as an activity and change the option via the activity settings. This works really well as it keeps all the progress related data in the LMS course (useful in courses where you have a mix of eLearning and other materials counting towards completion.)
There are two ways to have bookmarking in a published Captivate project:
- If you upload the published project to a LMS it is recommended to use the automatic bookmarking by the LMS. In that case do not use bookmarking by TOC because it can cause conflicts.
- If you don’t use a LMS but a simple webserver, you can use bookmarking by TOC by checking the option ‘Self-paced learning’. That will be limited to the situation where the learner is using the same system because it is based on cookies in local storage.
