Has anyone ever published a software simulation, as a video. And it looks great to view as an Mp4 file on windows media player. But you uploaded to Youtube and the quality of the video is poor, blurry.

And if so, have you been able to make the video better in youtube.

I’ve done something like this before and the video seems okay. What resolution are you publishing? I published mine with 1600 x 900 resolution.

All depends on the original resolution of the project. Although I would prefer to use Video Demo over software simulation in case of a video output, because it has a much higher quality, I can offer some suggestions:

  • Start by changing Preferences, Recording, Video Demo to 32-bit instead of 16-bit. That will also apply to Full Motion Recording slides in software simulations.
  • Choose a high resolution for the project, at least HD (1920×1080).
  • Avoid Full Motion Recording slides, replace them by Video Demo slides if they cannot be avoided.
  • Use SVGs whenever possible instead of bitmap images.
